- SEL with Ms. Bird! Students took a focus practice test while we (the teachers) got to make all of the distractions! This fun exercise was then followed up with stations that taught different focus strategies.
- We had a full week of earning tallies for meeting expectations in the classroom! Top winners picked from the prize basket, and other honorable mentions received a certificate. We are all appreciating this new system of reflection for behavior expectations.

- Decimal practice and review: deeper work with dividing decimals
- Decimal game stations (loved the students teaching students and all of the math talk during these 2 days!)

- Note-taking skills practice
- Co-writing an article about a famous person using notes they took in class
- Root word work: - fer-, and creation of study packet for our first set of roots

- Reviewed types of energy
- Discussed how energy is stored, useful, transferred, wasted
- Experimented with cars and ramps to investigate energy and forces
- Unit review and Open-book unit test
- Social Studies/Global Perspectives
- Continued discussions of globalization and creating brand-recognition surveys
